Iraq at red level: Canada warns against travel to several countries

The Canadian government on Thursday evening urged travellers to avoid all travel to Iraq, Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen, according to the latest risk levels published on the government's Travel.gc.ca travel advice platform.
It recommended, meanwhile, avoiding non-essential travel to Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The posting classified the first group as red level and the second group as orange level, directing travellers to check their destination's page on the official site for detailed guidance.
