Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency arrests suspect under Article 4 in Erbil

The Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency announced on Thursday the arrest of a suspect wanted under Article (4) of the Counter-Terrorism Law in Erbil governorate.

The agency said units of Federal Police intelligence, in coordination with security authorities in the Kurdistan Region, carried out a security operation based on intelligence that located the wanted individual and led to his arrest.

The agency added that the suspect is considered one of the dangerous terrorist elements and is wanted under Article (4) of the Counter-Terrorism Law for having carried out several terrorist operations previously.

The agency indicated that amounts in foreign currency were seized, in addition to passports and multiple bank cards, in the suspect’s possession.
