The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Baghdad announced on Monday, 12 October 2026, the opening of the electronic application form for accepting students from Islamic preparatory schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education and graduates of Waqf schools for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The ministry explained in its official announcement on its website that the application covers specified humanities and social departments: Arabic language, history, philosophy, sociology, tourism, psychology, and archaeology.

The ministry set Saturday, 24 October 2026, as the final date to complete application procedures, and urged those interested to hurry to confirm their choices before the deadline.

Applications are submitted via the Qadam platform application, with the requirement that the number of preferences be no fewer than ten and no more than twenty-five as a basic condition to complete the electronic form.

The announcement targets graduates of Islamic preparatory schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education as well as graduates of Waqf schools, opening a pathway for their university admission into the above-mentioned humanities and social specialties.

The ministry indicated that the text of the announcement and the official details are available on its official page on its website.

It is noted that the date comes as part of a series of university admission measures taken this year, following previous educational decisions that addressed adjustments to some students' grades in 2025–2026.

The ministry concluded its call by emphasizing the need to verify the accuracy of data and the number of preferences before final submission via the Qadam platform to avoid rejection of the form or delays in admission as the final date of 24 October approaches.
