Khafaji Announces Launch of Comprehensive Audit of State Officials' Certificates at Parliamentary Request

MP Mohammed Khafaji on Monday announced the start of a move to audit the academic certificates of state officials, noting the issuance of an official letter requesting documentation and the retrieval of graduation files for the basic educational stages.

Khafaji said in a post on social media that a letter issued by the Administrative Department of the Council of Representatives asks council members to submit their graduation documents for the three stages—primary, intermediate and preparatory—for the purpose of auditing and verifying their authenticity.

Khafaji attached to his post a copy of the letter issued by the General Secretariat of the Council of Representatives, adding that there are cases of forgery and manipulation in the documents of some officials, and calling for those involved to be exposed and held accountable according to applicable procedures.

The MP warned against attempts to alter documents or to rectify situations after the request was issued, stressing that the audit will not be limited to members of the Council of Representatives but will include all state officials.
