The Gulf Football Federation announced on Monday that it has assigned the task of officiating the final match of "Gulf Cup 27" between the Saudi national team and their Emirati counterparts, scheduled to take place tomorrow at Alinma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, to a Moroccan refereeing team led by international referee Jalal Jayed.

Jalal Jayed will be assisted in managing the match by Zakaria Brinsi and Mustafa Akrkad, while Hamza Al-Fariq will serve as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), meaning the Moroccan team will be present in full at the tournament’s final.

The Moroccan crew previously officiated two matches in Gulf Cup 27: the first between Iraq and Kuwait, and subsequently Jalal Jayed and his team took charge of the encounter between the UAE and Qatar.

The Moroccan team’s selection to manage the final came after the level of performances its members displayed at the recent World Cup finals in the United States, allowing them to continue their presence in international assignments by leading the most important match of the Gulf tournament.
