Ukrainian Embassy in Iraq Denies Deploying Drones in Kurdistan Region
The Ukrainian embassy described claims in Iranian reports that Kyiv had deployed units and thousands of drones in the Kurdistan Region as "completely unfounded," and called for accuracy and not to circulate unconfirmed allegations.

The Ukrainian embassy to the Republic of Iraq, in a statement issued on Wednesday, refuted claims published in Iranian reports that Ukraine had deployed drones in the Kurdistan Region, and urged the media and the public to verify facts and refrain from circulating unconfirmed allegations.
The embassy's response came after a report citing an unnamed security source claimed that Ukraine had deployed units and thousands of drones in the region.
In an official statement the embassy said, "These claims are completely unfounded and constitute deliberate misinformation," stressing that Ukraine "has not deployed any drones or units belonging to it or personnel affiliated with it, neither in the Kurdistan Region nor anywhere else in Iraq."
The diplomatic message added that Ukraine "fully respects the sovereignty of the Republic of Iraq and its territorial integrity," and that it places importance on friendly relations with the federal government and the government of the Kurdistan Region.
