Egyptian actress Yousra revealed details from behind the scenes of the series "Rafat Al-Hagan," saying that striking information related to the operation of planting the Egyptian agent inside Israel was not known to her while she was participating in the production but was discovered by chance after finishing filming the first part.

Yousra said during a radio interview yesterday, Thursday, that her uncle, officer Mohamed Nassim, was one of the prominent figures in Egyptian intelligence and that he was the very person who carried out the planting of Rafat Al-Hagan inside Israel. She added that the production team experienced astonishment and amazement at the magnitude and nature of the mission portrayed in the series.

On the moment she was nominated to take part in the work, Yousra said: "I felt overwhelming joy," explaining that it was the first time she saw a true and tangible hero who had rendered a great and noble service to his country.

It is worth noting that Mohamed Nassim was one of the most prominent officers of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, and his role in the series was played by actor Nabil El-Halafawy.

Yousra mentioned that Nassim was the liaison officer and the direct person responsible for managing and directing the agent Rafat Al-Hagan inside Israel; he prepared him psychologically and technically, drew up his lines of return and contact, and shaped his identity under the name Jack Biton and how to integrate into Israeli society.

As for Rafat Al-Hagan, whose real name was Rifaat Ali Suleiman Al-Gamal, he was born on July 1, 1927 and died on January 30, 1982. He is considered one of the secret agents planted by Egyptian intelligence within Israeli society; he traveled in the early 1950s and settled in Tel Aviv, assuming the identity of a Jewish businessman named Jack Biton.

Al-Gamal succeeded in integrating into Israeli society and gaining the trust of commercial, political and military circles, which enabled him to provide Egyptian intelligence with sensitive information about the economy, infrastructure, and plans for armament and military equipment.
