Adobe launches Premiere for Android — professional editing free without watermark

Adobe announced the availability of the Premiere app for Android phones, more than a year after launching it for iPhone users; the app is now available on the Google Play Store.

The app gives users free access to basic editing tools, including trimming, splitting, cropping and merging clips, as well as adjusting playback speed, adding text, effects, audio tracks and voiceover.

However, the company charges for some generative AI features inside the app: users can buy dedicated credits to use tools such as generating sound effects and accessing materials produced by Adobe Firefly technologies.

The app also allows users to purchase additional cloud storage directly.

New features coming

Adobe plans to add more features to the Android version of Premiere, including support for Adobe Fonts, improved captioning tools, and a seamless editing experience between the phone and the desktop version of Premiere.

Adobe Premiere is available to download from the Google Play Store and requires a phone running Android 13 or later, with at least 5 GB of RAM.
