Ammar al-Hakim: 2027 budget will allocate five trillion dinars to regional development

Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, announced on Wednesday that the 2027 budget will include an allocation of five trillion dinars for the development of Iraq's regions.

In a press conference held after his meeting with the local government in Kirkuk governorate, al-Hakim said, "This amount will set projects in motion and sustain the reconstruction wheel," praising efforts to preserve stability and the economic, social and political achievements that have been realized, as well as the steps taken to address the problem of weapons outside the state framework.

He stressed that the role of state institutions "protects the political system and strengthens national unity and is not limited to services only," calling for citizens to feel the impact of development and coexistence in their daily lives, and pointing to the state of war in the region and Iraq's direct economic harm from it.

Al-Hakim added that the government had focused in the previous phase on paying salaries and the dues of farmers and contractors to stimulate the economy, invest the land, provide job opportunities, ensure food and social security and advance service projects, expressing his hope that the regional crisis will end soon and indicating that a settlement is likely in the near future.
