Houthis announce six operations targeting oil facilities and Saudi airports; Riyadh says it intercepted two missiles
The Houthi group says it carried out six operations with missiles and drones inside Saudi Arabia, and Saudi civil defense reports a citizen injured and damage in Riyadh after the interception of two ballistic missiles.

The Houthi group in Yemen announced on the evening of Thursday, October 29, 2026, that it had carried out six operations inside Saudi territory which it said targeted oil facilities, two airports and a military site, while Saudi authorities said they intercepted two ballistic missiles launched toward Riyadh, without commenting on the rest of the group's claims.
Six operations with missiles and drones
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in a filmed statement broadcast by the group at about 10:50 p.m. Baghdad time that the first operation targeted the Ras Tanura refinery with a ballistic missile and the second targeted Aramco facilities in Buqayq with a ballistic missile, both in the Eastern Province of the kingdom.
He added that the third operation targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh with a salvo of rockets, the fourth targeted King Fahd International Airport in Dammam with a drone — saying it disrupted navigation there — the fifth struck the Rabigh oil refinery on the Red Sea coast with a ballistic missile, and the sixth hit the Saudi forces' command headquarters in the Najran area, saying it caused dead and wounded.
The group links its operations to air raids on Taiz
The group presented the operations as a response to recent Saudi air raids, including shelling of homes in the Maqbana district of Taiz governorate that it said resulted in 14 dead and wounded, and vowed to continue escalating as long as military operations and the blockade on Yemen continue, declaring 'the blockade with a blockade and escalation with escalation.'
Riyadh says it intercepted two missiles and there was falling debris
In contrast, coalition forces said Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched toward the city of Riyadh, amid the sounding of air-raid sirens in the capital and in the Najran area.
The Saudi Civil Defense said that debris from the interception of the two missiles fell in Riyadh, causing a minor injury to a citizen and material damage to a house and a vehicle.
No independent confirmation of strikes on oil facilities
Neither Saudi authorities nor Aramco had issued any comment at the time of preparing this report on the Houthis' claims regarding Ras Tanura, Buqayq, Rabigh, Dammam airport and Najran, and it was not possible to verify these accounts from an independent source; the official Saudi announcement was limited to the interception of the two missiles over Riyadh.
