Iranian judiciary sentences attackers of Iraqi students in Semnan to two years in prison

The Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Iran announced that an Iranian judicial ruling has been issued against the attackers of the Iraqi students in the city of Semnan, sentencing them to two years in prison.

The attaché said in a statement received by Al-Wasat Iraqi newspaper that "the Iranian judicial authorities issued a two-year prison sentence against the individuals convicted of assaulting a number of Iraqi students in the Iranian city of Semnan."

It added that "the sentence comes after the case was followed up by the relevant authorities, ensuring the protection of the rights of Iraqi students and holding those responsible for the assault accountable according to legal procedures."

The attaché wished safety for all Iraqi students, affirming the importance of respecting their rights and providing a safe environment for them during their studies abroad.
