Iraqi sources: 10 million barrels sold at $25–28 discount via southern ports
Iraqi sources said on Sunday that 10 million barrels were sold via southern ports at a discount of $25–28 per barrel, with most shipments going to Indian companies.

Iraqi sources revealed on Sunday that Iraq recently sold about 10 million barrels of oil via the southern ports at a discount ranging between $25 and $28 per barrel.
The sources said most of these shipments were acquired by Indian companies and that loading was carried out from the southern ports a few days ago.
Separately, two other sources said that since the start of the Iranian war Iraq has not been able to sell any barrel at a price above $100, despite global prices reaching about $117 per barrel in the last trading session.
Meanwhile, a source at the Iraq State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) said the company has recently been unable to sell crude for more than $85 per barrel, and that about a month ago it sold some light crude shipments at around $90 per barrel.
On Saturday, the "Eco Iraq" observatory specializing in economic affairs announced that the value of Iraqi crude oil exports reached about $37.39 billion against exports of 533.46 million barrels during the first nine months of 2026.
