Trump expresses readiness to meet Masoud Bezheshkian and says: something big could happen on Iran

On Sunday afternoon, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his willingness to meet Iranian President Masoud Bezheshkian on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York.

Trump told the U.S. network Fox News, as reported by the Iraqi newspaper Al-Wasat: "I would be open to the idea of meeting the Iranian president in New York."

He added that he was about to make a decision regarding Iran, saying: "Something big could happen very, very soon regarding Iran," and that it would be better for the Iranians to behave.

Separately, Trump noted that Washington is in "continuous contact" with the Houthis in Yemen, and that they agreed not to fight the United States.
