Trump says return of military strikes against Iran 'possible'

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed early Monday that the return of military strikes against Iran "is possible," suggesting that the declaration of victory in this war is near.

In an interview with the U.S. Fox News channel, Trump said that a return to military strikes is possible but that "he does not want to say that right now," indicating that what will happen is victory in the war very soon.

He added: "The key is that Iran will not have a nuclear weapon, and we are succeeding on both the military and economic fronts in confronting Iran."

Trump predicted oil prices would fall once the war ends, saying: "Oil prices will drop to pre-war levels after we defeat Iran soon."
