Federal agents search Rep. Ilhan Omar's home in criminal investigation
Sources told The Associated Press that federal agents executed a search warrant at Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar's home in the Washington area, and the Justice Department confirmed the warrant was carried out without providing details.

The Associated Press, citing sources, said federal agents searched the home of Democratic U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar as part of a criminal investigation whose details remain unclear.
The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss an ongoing investigation publicly, said the search was carried out by agents from Homeland Security Investigations, a unit of the Department of Homeland Security.
The Justice Department, in a statement, said agents from Homeland Security Investigations executed a search warrant that the department obtained under judicial authorization in the Washington area, without providing any additional details about the nature of the investigation or what, if anything, was seized during the operation.
Responding, Ilhan Omar said, "I will not be silenced," and described the search of her home as the "latest escalation" in a "campaign of intimidation" by President Donald Trump. She added that "for the past ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns," affirming she will not be silenced in the face of what she called political intimidation.
