3 administrative staff killed and 8 students wounded in Israeli strike on Islamic University campus in Gaza
Three administrative staff members at the Islamic University in Gaza City were killed and eight students injured on Sunday, 25 October, when an Israeli drone strike hit the university campus while students were in lectures, marking the second strike on the campus within hours.

Three administrative staff members at the Islamic University in Gaza City were killed and eight students were wounded on Sunday, 25 October, in an Israeli drone strike that targeted the university campus, according to Al-Shifa Hospital and sources at the university, in the second strike to hit the campus within hours.
The students were in their lectures.
Al-Shifa Hospital said it received three bodies and treated eight wounded from the strike, while university sources said the dead were administrative staff and the injured were students, including cases described as critical. Gaza's Ministry of Education confirmed that students were present to attend lectures at the moment of the attack.
Ministry of Education: the academic sector is facing annihilation
The ministry condemned the strike in a statement, saying international silence toward attacks on students and universities encourages their continuation. It noted that 95 percent of academic institution buildings in the Strip were damaged during the war, and that 10 students and educators have been killed in the past six days. The Israeli army said it is examining reports related to the strike.
Four more killed despite the truce
Gaza's civil defense said four other people were killed on Sunday in various parts of the Strip: two in an airstrike in Khan Younis in the south, one in Deir al-Balah in the center, and another in the north. This comes despite a truce in Gaza that has been in place for more than a year and has not succeeded in fully stopping the violence.
