The Asian Football Confederation announced on Sunday, 25 October 2026, the postponement of the Al-Nassr (Saudi) vs Al-Wasl (UAE) match in the Elite AFC Champions League, which had been scheduled for Monday in the Saudi capital Riyadh, to a later date.

What the Asian Football Confederation said

The confederation said in a statement that it had decided to reschedule the match between the two teams in the West Zone group stage of the 2026-2027 edition, which had been due to take place at King Saud University Stadium, adding that the new date and kickoff time will be announced in due course.

Reason for the postponement

The AFC statement did not give a reason for the decision, while Saudi media reports said Al-Wasl's delegation did not arrive in Riyadh due to travel difficulties amid security developments in the region that have affected air traffic in recent weeks.

Third round kicks off on Monday

Matches in the third round of the West Zone group stage of the continental tournament begin on Monday and will continue on Tuesday, while Al-Nassr awaits the scheduling of an alternative date for its encounter with the Emirati side.
