Trump: Washington Will Keep Iran Paralyzed and Can Control the Strait of Hormuz
U.S. President Donald Trump said his country will keep Iran in a state of paralysis and could quickly end the 'Iran issue', asserting Washington's ability to control oil transit through the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington will keep Iran in a state of total paralysis and could 'end the Iran issue' quickly if it chose to, describing it as a 'failed state'.
Trump added in a press statement that all the oil the United States wants passes through the Strait of Hormuz, and that Tehran is subject to a naval blockade. He affirmed that the United States controls the strait and can impose wide-ranging control over Iran, noting that the regime does not have money.
Trump wondered whether Washington wants to settle the matter immediately or let it fade away, saying that Iran is heading toward collapse.
Trump also referred to accusations he leveled at Tehran that it seeks to raise oil prices before the U.S. midterm elections by fabricating alleged attacks, saying that the quantities now passing through the Strait of Hormuz exceed what passed before the conflict began.
In a post on an online platform, Trump accused the Iranian regime of killing protesters and acting brutally toward anyone who opposes it, saying that '75,000 protesters fell dead in less than seven months,' and expressing surprise at what he called the indifference of the international community and the Democratic Party.
