U.S. President Donald Trump refused to rule out the possibility of striking Iran and said "anything is possible," and he also pointed to progress on the Russia‑Ukraine file while expressing hope to meet Presidents Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky. Pentagon data seen by Reuters puts the cost of U.S. operations against Iran at more than $47 billion.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday did not rule out the possibility of launching a new military strike against Iran, saying "anything is possible" on the matter.
In his remarks to reporters, Trump also addressed the course of the Russia‑Ukraine war, saying progress had been made on that file and expressing his hope to meet Presidents Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky soon.
Trump's remarks came alongside Pentagon data showing that the cost of U.S. military operations in the war with Iran has exceeded $47 billion to date, an increase of more than 25% over the Defense Department's estimates in July, according to Pentagon data seen by Reuters.
