Araghchi: Talks show progress but have not produced a final agreement
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says the negotiations have recorded progress but have not yet reached a final result, with consultations ongoing through a Qatari mediator while Donald Trump has warned of possible rapid military action against Iran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday that the ongoing talks have shown progress but that no final result has been reached so far.
Araghchi added in press remarks, according to media reports, that his country hopes the other side will act rationally, noting that consultations continue with the Qatari mediator without a final result up to this moment.
He affirmed that achieving a final result is conditional on the response Tehran receives from the opposing party.
Earlier in the day, U.S. President Donald Trump hinted at the possibility of carrying out a rapid military operation targeting what remains of Iran's nuclear sites, saying Tehran's military capabilities have become very weak.
