President Donald Trump says the U.S. still needs to deal with one or two nuclear sites in Iran, including Jabal al-Fass, that this could be done within 10 minutes, and that he is not in a hurry.

President Donald Trump said the United States still needs to "deal with one or two" nuclear sites in Iran, including the Jabal al-Fass site known as "Bikax," and that this could be carried out "within 10 minutes," he told reporters on Saturday evening, October 31, 2026 Washington time, at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Jabal al-Fass a potential target

Trump added that his country "has eliminated" Iranian nuclear capabilities and that only one or two sites remain, pointing to Jabal al-Fass as a site "that must be dealt with," and saying it could be done very quickly. The site lies south of the Natanz facility, and Western intelligence assessments classify it as a possible location for storing nuclear materials; it has not been struck by the United States since the outbreak of the war.

Negotiations "going well" but without trust

On talks underway with Tehran via intermediaries, the U.S. president said they are "going well," but he questioned the Iranians' commitment, saying they want to reach an agreement but "cannot be relied upon." He stressed that Washington is not in a hurry to take new military action, because it has inflicted heavy damage on Iran's military and nuclear capabilities.

Qatari mediation and ongoing naval blockade

Trump's remarks come as Qatar has stepped up diplomatic efforts to revive talks between Washington and Tehran, while U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the president has not yet decided on resuming strikes and that the country prefers a diplomatic solution.

In the same context, U.S. Central Command said its forces had redirected 144 commercial vessels up to October 31 to ensure compliance with the naval blockade imposed on Iran since its resumption, noting that the aircraft carrier USS George Washington is supporting enforcement of the blockade.
