Gold prices in Saudi Arabia fell on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, after recording a slight decline across various purities compared with earlier updates this week, registering relative stability for the global ounce ahead of the release of US inflation data.

The 21‑carat gram, the most traded in the Kingdom's jewellery market, was about 439 Saudi riyals after morning readings clustered between about 438.99 and 439.26 riyals. The 24‑carat gram was about 502 riyals, 22‑carat about 460 riyals, and 18‑carat about 376 riyals, according to figures that were nearly identical across two Gulf monitors for the same day.

Globally, the spot ounce was steady in early updates near the range $4,161 to $4,164, while US December futures rose about 0.2% to around $4,185. The Saudi riyal is pegged to the US dollar, which means any change in the ounce price is quickly reflected in jewellers' price lists in cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.

At the Gulf level, a unified indicative update indicated that the 21‑carat gram price in the UAE was about 430 dirhams in the same‑day observation, while Saudi pricing remained the focus of local market watch.

It should be noted that the prices mentioned are rough estimated values that do not include manufacturing costs, value‑added tax or jewellery shop margins.

Households and investors in the Kingdom follow the yellow metal's movement as a short‑term savings tool, especially amid exchange‑rate and energy market volatility in the region. This monitoring can be linked to purchasing‑power concerns covered by "Al‑Wasat" in a report The citizen's livelihood is not a testing ground.. Fears over the dollar and rising prices, where the metal and the currency intersect in households' daily calculations.

Before completing any transaction, it is advisable to check the live price at the jeweller and verify the invoice for purity and weight, because small per‑gram differences can accumulate on heavy jewellery pieces or investment bars.
