Araghchi: Strait of Hormuz will not return to pre-war state, calls to end foreign presence
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday that the Strait of Hormuz will not return to its pre-war condition, stressing that restoring stability requires ending foreign presence and opening a regional dialogue.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will not return to what it was before the war, arguing that restoring peace and stability in the region requires the complete end of foreign forces' presence.
Araghchi pointed out that the security architecture of some regional countries that depended on foreign intervention has collapsed, linking reliance on external powers to a decline in regional stability.
He added that U.S. bases in the region brought security to no one and instead contributed to destabilization, expressing his rejection of what he described as reliance on external security.
Araghchi welcomed any initiative aimed at guaranteeing the region's security through its own states, stating that Iran is ready to engage in dialogue on this issue with the parties concerned.
He concluded by saying that Tehran always emphasizes the need to achieve stability and to end conflicts comprehensively and on all fronts.
