The General Directorate of Cultural Affairs in Baghdad has published the new poetry collection by poet Aws Hassan titled 'What the Dream Says... and Language Neglects It.'

The poet said the collection springs from a philosophical threshold for which he chose the phrase '(a lack in existence.. fullness in being),' stressing that he does not treat this phrase merely as a theoretical preface but as a key to entering the poetic world in which the collection's texts are formed and to the questions that inhabit it about existence, language, memory, time and the human.

He added that the ambiguous relationship between language and human experience has always occupied him, noting that words, despite their ability to name things and fix their meanings, remain incapable of encompassing what exceeds the bounds of immediate consciousness and what hides in the deep regions of the self and of existence.

Aws Hassan explained that the dream appears in the texts as another field of revelation and a space in which things assume unfamiliar forms, where beings are freed from their usual logical relations to reveal truths that everyday language may be unable to approach.
